Chicken can be consumed by gout patients

Pracharath Rak Samakkee Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Khon Kaen) cooperates with Khon Kaen University to market the “KKU1” chicken breed developed by Khon Kaen University as the product sustainably creating supplemental income for agriculturists. The production of chicks is conducted by the University and the agriculturists interested to participate in the project are selected from Community Development.

The Research Center has improved the breed through the breeding between Northeast Pearl – KKU50 and PS Broiler and the new breed yielded is KKU1. This breed consists 25% of local chicken breed and the attractive points are low uric acid (1.91 mg%) which is lower than the commercial chicken, low cholesterol, intense but soft, and tiny muscle fiber, suitable for consumption of all ages.
